As a result, it can face scaling issues, particularly for large organizations that need more customization and integration. These days Salesforce emphasis on event-driven architectures, serverless components, and AI-powered features as well. All that will further decouple and streamline how Salesforce operates in larger ecosystems. But the application itself does not seem to be at the level where it should be according to some voices on the internet.
As mentioned earlier, Salesforce continues to rely on its original tech stack, which hasn’t undergone fundamental and significant changes. However, as we know, old habits die hard, as is usually the case with legacy systems.
As a result, Salesforce struggles periodically to keep up with stability, performance and scalability. A recent example is the outage in November 2024. To be fair at this stage, outages happened also for SAP’s former CRM solution Cloud for Customer (C4C), but not (yet?) for SAP Sales and Service Cloud.
